ctRNA biomarkers in NEPC

My master's research in the Porter Lab at the University of Windsor focuses on circulating-tumor-RNA (ctRNA) liquid-biopsy biomarkers for early detection of neuroendocrine prostate cancer. The aim is a less invasive way to catch an aggressive cancer earlier, when intervention can still change a patient's trajectory.

Research operations

Beyond the science, the work has meant building and running the infrastructure behind a translational study: REB ethics approvals, consent and protocol development, REDCap database design, data-sharing considerations, systematic literature review, and biospecimen coordination.
